Breath For Wellbeing & Anxiety Management

Relearn to Breathe Like You Were Meant To

In this course you will have a safe space to explore your breath and harness the benefits of functional breathing.

We were (almost) all born breathing in a way that promote self-healing, vitality and calm. This is what we call functional breathing.

When we undergo moments of stress, our breath is designed to switch to allow us to react quickly to the trigger. However, due to stressful lives filled with expectations, traumatic events, and potentially chronic stress, many of use find ourselves stuck in this state of hyper-alertness. What it means is that our fear state breath becomes the norm and with it a cascade of health and emotional issues arise.

Our goal in this course is to help you bring awareness and understanding around your breath for long lasting change.

In this course you will learn the mechanic of the breath, understand its function, gain better awareness of your body, and retrain your baseline breath to be supportive to your health, wellbeing, emotional and mental state.

What challenges does this breath for wellbeing raining help you overcome:

  • Chronic Stress and Anxiety: Breathing techniques counteract the body’s fight-or-flight response, easing tension and anxiety.
  • Sleep Disorders: Regular practice can help manage insomnia or restless nights, leading to deeper, more consistent sleep.
  • Emotional Imbalances: Difficulty in managing emotions like anger, frustration, or sadness can be alleviated by mindful breathing, helping you feel more grounded.
  • Poor Focus and Concentration: When life feels overwhelming, controlled breathing brings clarity and aids in restoring mental focus.
  • Fatigue and Low Energy: Breathing practices help balance energy levels, combating fatigue and lethargy by improving oxygen flow and circulation.
What are some of the benefits?

Short-Term Benefits:

• Stress Reduction: Breathing exercises activate the parasympathetic nervous system, calming your body and mind, reducing feelings of stress and anxiety.

• Improved Focus: Conscious breathing enhances oxygen flow to the brain, promoting mental clarity and sharpening focus, helping you stay present in the moment.

• Emotional Regulation: With controlled breathing, you can reduce negative emotional reactions and cultivate a sense of inner calm.

• Better Sleep: These techniques can help you unwind, allowing for more restful and rejuvenating sleep.

• Relaxation: taking a moment to practice any calming breathing technique sends the signal to your body and mind that you are safe, promoting relaxation.

Long-Term Benefits:

• Enhanced Mental Resilience: Over time, regular practice of breathing techniques strengthens your ability to cope with stress, reducing the effects of anxiety and depression.

• Increased Lung Capacity and Physical Vitality: Deep breathing helps expand lung capacity, improve circulation, and increase overall energy levels, benefiting physical health and endurance. May improve asthma symptoms.

• Greater Emotional Stability: Continued use of breathing practices builds emotional stability, making it easier to navigate challenging situations with grace and composure.

• Improved Immunity and Wellbeing: By reducing stress hormones and improving oxygenation, breathing techniques can contribute to a healthier immune, digestive & cardiovascular system and overall sense of wellbeing.
